Pennsylvania Alcohol Awareness | Drug Education for Pennsylvania Court Requirements ( DWI, DUI)

Defendants who drive or operate a motor vehicle upon public highways and streets under the influence of alcohol and charged with a DWI, DUI in Pennsylvania may need to take an alcohol class which is 8 or more hours in length for court requirements.  Although many of the DWI-DWI courses in most cases have the required time of 12 hours long, whether it’s online or in an actual classroom. Generally the 8, 10 and 12 hour alcohol classes are referred to as a level 1 or level I alcohol course, level 2 (II) and level 3 (III) can be 16, 20, 24, 32, 36 and sometimes 72 hours in length.  Each state has it’s own rules regarding the minimum time limits.

If the offender has a suspended driver’s license, then undue hardship is on a family member, relative or friend to drive the offender to a class.

Underage drinking is illegal.
