Ohio State Online Alcohol EDU for OSU Students

Ohio State Online Alcohol Course for Ohio State University Students

Ohio State- This is not a replacement for any existing required Alcohol course. This course has both Alcohol and Drug awareness education elements and provides more than a basic class may offer.

Ohio State- Every year, approximately 4 million people do something they have never done before: Start college for the first-time. Their backgrounds, characteristics, and reasons for attending college vary widely, but they have at least one thing in common: they see some value in “getting a higher education.” Then in roughly 6 years later, about half of them will have failed to graduate. Even more alarming, about one-third of them will fail to re-enroll beyond their first year. There are anecdotal indications (although not much empirical evidence) that the first 6 weeks of enrollment is critical to first year student success. So it is in the best interests of both students and the institutions they attend to focus attention on the first year of college when trying to solve the problems on our campuses created by alcohol misuse. Efforts to combat the problems of excessive and underage drinking by college students must begin prior to enrollment and continue at least throughout the first year of college.

Most current University and College Students Alcohol Education and MIP MIC classes are two 45 minute classroom setting courses or one 2 Hour class or a 2 hour one time course. While these courses cover many needed topics, they lack the influential impact of an 8 Hour online course filled with consequential goals to college students and drinking. Then there are the distractions which are so plain in a classroom of fellow students. What the student gets out of the course is much more important than their mere credentials achieved once they’ve attended.
There are other courses available in 4 hour8 hour, 10 Hour, 12 hour, 15 hour, 16 hour, 20 hour, 24 hour, 32 hour and  36 Hour  Online Programs.  Marijuana classes, minors in possession (MIP) courses, and out-of-state non-resident dui programs are also popular.
